facelift

Monday, October 26, 2009

It seems that none of my patients really understand what a face lift really is. "I don't need a FULL face lift, do I?" they usually ask. No, there is no such thing as a FULL fae lift. A face lift is a very poorly named operation. It really is surgery performed to rejuvenate the lower face and neck. It improves ONLY  the neck and jowls. Surgeons break the face up into regions when we talk about surgery to improve those areas. If you want the brow lifted, it's called a brow-or forehead lift. If you want your eyelids rejuvenated, it's called a blepharoplasty,or  if you want your cheeks lifted, that's a mid face lift.
